Further Lane Residence



Recalling the grand Shingle Style of McKim, Mead & White, the Hamptons, and Newport, Rhode Island, this house uses geometry and balanced forms to bring order to a large composition. The house stretches out along the rustic dunes so that nearly all the rooms open to porches, decks, and magnificent views of the ocean. The crisp, white Shingle Style details frame important moments both inside and out, providing structure for the interior decoration and vivid counterpoint to the exterior shingle envelope.
